Mount Carmel Sr. Sec. School, Rakkar Colony, Una, Himachal Pradesh, is run by Carmelite Charitable Society registered as a religious and charitable society vide no. 337 of 1980-81 and act XXI of 1980 and amendment of Punjab amendment act 1957. This society organizes various charitable works, especially in the field of education. It is a minority educational institution covered under article 30 of the Constitution of India.

This society is engaged in educational field to spread the light of knowledge in the darkened world enlightening young minds. The school emphasizes moral values which will mould young minds maturely. Keeping this end in view the society runs a number of primary, high and higher secondary schools in English Medium in Punjab, Utter Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh.

Most of these schools are situated in the rural areas with a view to embowering the under privileged children.
